TELECOM INSTALLER
About the Role
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The main purpose of a Telecom Installer shall be to set up, test, and repair network and communication hardware on-site. He shall run cables (copper/fiber), mount equipment, and connect circuits.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Site compliance and Safety that is to adhere strictly to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain workplace safety during all installations.
• System Testing which shall involve performing electrical and mechanical terminations, testing circuits, and completing functional tests to guarantee system performance.
• Equipment Deployment comprehensive of Installing, configuring, and mounting telecom cabinets, routers, switches, and servers at client sites.
• Diagnosing and trouble shooting faults in telecom systems and resolving service issues.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, network diagrams and installation plans and ensure all installations comply with quality, safety and regulatory standards.
• Trouble shoot and repair faults in telecom infrastructure and customer premises equipment.
• Respond promptly to service calls and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by coordinating with engineers, supervisors and other technical teams.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.
Education:
• Certificate or Diploma in Telecommunications, electrical engineering, Electronics, information Technology or a related technical field.
• Additional certificate in fiber optics, networking or teecommunications are an advantage.
Knowledge and Experience
• Previous experience in telecommunications installation, network cabling or related technical work is preferred.
• Experience in Fiber Optic, copper or wireless communication systems is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
• Ability to install, configure, test and troubleshoot telecom equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation plans.
• Familiarity with network testing tools and Diagnostic equipment.
Education:
